Despite a Fading Memory, Terry Pratchett Still Writes

Famed British sci-fi writer Sir Terry Pratchett has suffered from early onset Alzheimer's disease since 2007. Due to his condition, Pratchett has lost the ability to read, but it hasn't stopped this prolific author from continuing his craft.

In this interview from NPR's All Things Considered, Pratchett discusses facing this challenge and continuing to write via a talk-to-text computer program. He recently released a new, re-edited version of his first novel, The Carpet People, and is working on another original novel.
