Performers of the French dance company Adrien M / Claire B "trip the light fantastic" in the most literal sense. The organization's productions incorporate elaborate 3-D projection mapping paired with contemporary dance. They create exquisite, albeit seriously trippy, virtual scenes in which dancers react to and maneuver around digitally produced images. In Pixel, its latest production, the projections send dancers leaping from one virtual boulder to another, and has them shielding themselves from "pixelated" raindrops by dancing with umbrellas, along with many other virtual props and settings.
Take a look at the clip of Pixel that Wired recently posted.
